THE LITTLE THINGS

How many times do we start out having a great day and let one thing change our attitude for the rest of the day? We start out happy and end up grumpy. It is easy to allow one mishap to begin playing the music in our heads for a pity party. Then another mishap turns the music up until that is all we can hear or think about…”Good grief! Of course it happens to me!” All things go through God’s hands before entering our lives. It is our choice as to how we respond. We can choose to have a good attitude and move on, or we can choose to be miserable. Some things that happen prevent disasters in our future and some things bring us in the path of another person might need something we have to offer.

LORD, as things come up in our lives and paths today, and THEY WILL, please help us to keep the little things into perspective. Help us to ask, “God, is this from You and I need to learn or offer something, or is it just a bump in my road and nothing else?” Remind us that pity parties really aren’t that fun, and when those we love enter our area, they are affected, too. Help us to open our hands and hearts to others You place in our lives through bumps in the road. We might have what they need to get back on the road.

**He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17

**What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

Sisi and a friend made these. I thought they were good examples… P.S. God is so funny. As I typed this, we waited 30 mins at the driver license office in Littlefield to end up going to the driver license office in Levelland.

I want to grow up to be Barnabas (son of encouragement)! My name is Chris. My husband, Benny (the man of my dreams), and I live in a small community in West Texas. We have been married over 25 years. I am a mom of three, Xavier, Noah, & Sierra, (and adding more family every year) who have all left the nest in the last year or so. I am a pastor’s wife of Circleback Baptist, aka known as family for 22 years now. I am also a firefighter’s wife and love taking pictures! My heart is to be an encouragement to others, and I’ve always said I want to grow up to be a Barnabas. I don’t have any secrets or magic potions, I just want to share lessons I learn along this journey. I would be thrilled for you to ride shotgun!!
