“ME, TOO”

I try to be honest in my posts, and I am reposting this one because in this day and age we are living in, life is lonely, rules are changing, and we all need to know we do not struggle alone…

ON THE PORCH
“ME, TOO”

Sometimes the most important words another mom can hear is “Me, too.” satan likes to make us think we are all alone in this life…the heartaches, the tears, the feelings we have day to day, the things our families go through…and we think “no one else could REALLY feel what I do.” When we think we are alone, we hide. We hide and have our own little pity party. But the fact of the matter is, our personal situation is never totally new. The Bible says “there is nothing new under the sun…” Recently I met another mom I hadn’t really connected to before. As we talked, I realized she experienced almost the same things parallel to me experiencing them. It didn’t change my situation, and it didn’t change hers, but we both walked away not feeling as lonely.

LORD, this morning help us use the experiences we’ve been through to help others on their journey. You created Eve so Adam wouldn’t be alone, and You created us to need other women in our lives. As we go through the struggles we do, let us use them to help others, not internalize them and hide from others. Remind us that everyone is going through something whether they broadcast that or not. Give us the extra smile, words, or hug to offer another person hurting.

**Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

**The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2:18

Everybody’s Going Through Something song

Published by Chris Baker

I want to grow up to be Barnabas (son of encouragement)! My name is Chris. My husband, Benny (the man of my dreams), and I live in a small community in West Texas. We have been married over 25 years. I am a mom of three, Xavier, Noah, & Sierra, (and adding more family every year) who have all left the nest in the last year or so. I am a pastor’s wife of Circleback Baptist, aka known as family for 22 years now. I am also a firefighter’s wife and love taking pictures! My heart is to be an encouragement to others, and I’ve always said I want to grow up to be a Barnabas. I don’t have any secrets or magic potions, I just want to share lessons I learn along this journey. I would be thrilled for you to ride shotgun!!
