ON THE PORCH
BACK FROM MY SELAH

Wow. My selah was longer than I intended, but life kept speeding by me at an alarming rate. At times I felt like I was on a merry go round, and all I could do was hold on for dear life.
Since my last ON THE PORCH post, there have been many changes in our world, our community, and our family. Our lives have truly been altered as so many others have. If you do pray for our family, THANK YOU. Let me give a quick update…
— Benny is still as busy as ever pastoring, chiefing, wood carving, moccasin making and keeping things around here running in general.
— Xavier has graduated from UTA with his BSN in nursing. He just started a new job at Medical City Fort Worth on the PCU.
— Noah and Grace celebrated their first year of being married. He is working through his paramedic rotations and got his year on with LFR. Grace is a pediatric home health nurse and loves to play with the babies she cares for.
— Sierra is finishing up her last two classes at SPC before applying to Covenant Nursing school. She moved to Lubbock in January and works at Red Lobster. She also swore in to the Army earlier this week. She is scheduled (as of right now) to ship out in August. Currently, she wants to come out into reserves.
— And me…well, my word this year was “RELEASE,” and boy have I been having to be doing a lot of that lately!! SO MUCH has happened since I last posted, and I am trying to slow down and wrap my brain around it all. I really feel like God is telling me it is time to get back ON THE PORCH, with Him and with you. My porch will not see as much activity and traffic and will be a little emptier now that I don’t have any kiddos at home, but God still meets me there and I pray He will meet you there, too.
We also added another member to the family. Her name is Chewy and boy, does she live up to her name! She sounds like Chewbacca when she cries and chews on EVERYTHING she can get her mouth on!
Thank you for joining me ON THE PORCH again! I hope to see you often!!
LORD, thank You that we get to start meeting together again. I pray that You would be smack dab in the middle of every visit ON THE PORCH, and I ask that I speak only Your words. Thank you for the other believers who are willing to do life with me and intercede on my family’s behalf!! In Your precious Name, Amen.
**Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
I am linking a very short video of Chewy crying when we first got her. After you hear it, you’ll understand why we named her Chewy. 😊
